Still.....Waiting.

No word from the Y or the U other than applications are complete. I just talked to a girl whose husband transferred a few years ago and she said they found out about 2 weeks before school started. Awesome. I can hardly wait. Because if we don't get in then I will be scrambling to pack my house and rent it out.
But on the bright side, I would maybe be done working part-time nights. I doubt it, but it is the thought that counts.
Until then, I am trying to stay busy. No exciting vacations planned this year except for an awesome family reunion in Island Park.
Oh, and I get to watch my cute little niece all next week and I am hoping that I can get her walking just in time for her parents to come home, wink. WINK.
My 3 year old thinks she deserves a mother of the year award. I love listening to her tell Amanda things. She will say to her, have you changed the baby's diaper? Amanda will tell her, No. She then will reply: Well, you need to. Have you given her any food? No. Well, you need to. And on and on.
The other day my 5 year old had thrown some carrots over the back seat of the car and my 3 year old told her: You KNOW better than that! Which, seriously, of course she knows better than that. I was going to tell her the same thing, but my 3 year old beat me to it.
She also told the baby after attempting to get her to stop reaching for her coloring: I have told you 5 times already, now stop!
I really think she is beginning to sound like me. Scary.

Summer Time Blues

We all are having fun with the summer time blues, imagine that! We bought Seven Peaks Waterpark passes and have been a few times. The kids love it and ask if we can go every day. It keeps us out of the house and busy. If not at that pool, I am trying to find splash parks, swimming pools and whatever else I can to keep us in the cool, blue water!

Hard Work Does Pay Off

My husband has never had to study hard in his life, until this last year. He got by....he got by just fine in high school doing the bare minimum to get A's. Onward to college where he did even less to get a B+ average. He was working, but nonetheless, he just didn't care to get the good grades.
This last year, living the "single" life, in an apartment with not much to take care of, he was able to actually study. He still tells me he probably studied less than 95% of his class but he did study. And, I think he actually somewhat enjoyed what he learned.
He got his grades on Friday and he did great. We don't know his class ranking yet, but it is good enough to help us transfer. We won't know until probably July, but we are very hopeful. It is amazing to see what a little hard work and dedication can actually accomplish.

Somethings Gotta Give

Brett came home from law school a couple of weeks ago. It has been heavenly having him home. I must say, we have been busy, but it seems like more is getting done and there even may be a few more hours in the day. Or, maybe the life isn't being sucked out of me by doing it all. Kudos to those single mothers out there. It is tough.

It has been a bit of an adjustment having him home. It was kind of nice to not have to account to someone for my every action. But above all, it is amazing to have our family back together again. The kids didn't understand at first that he wasn't going back to his apartment and KK just didn't understand where he was going to live and where all his furniture was.

I am hoping to get caught back up on some of my blogging. It obviously has suffered over the last year due to my lack of motivation to get on and sit for any prolonged period of time in front of the computer, typing about mundane things like being sleep deprived, doing laundry and trying to keep the house in check. School is out, which doesn't mean I have any more time, but I am working my shifts back to back so I feel like I have more time.

We also find out final grades tomorrow. I am keeping my fingers crossed. This will give me some sort of an idea of where we will be next year. If you looked at my recent activities on my credit card, you would get the idea that I am not planning on going anywhere!

It has been a great year in a weird sort of way. To simply put it, we have learned and grown and our relationship is stronger. But, I am not looking at doing it again anytime soon. Here's to hoping.
