Chili's Night

I think this is an awesome way to help support the up coming Relay for Life. Please come and get food while supporting us! You do have to bring in this coupon, so just print it out and come on down. We are still madly on the hunt for any Cancer Survivors as well. If you know ANYONE who has fought the battle let them know about the Relay for Life. It is on Aug. 7-8. They are recognized that night and also get dinner. Let me know if you or anyone is interested.

L.O.V.E.

I just love, love, love little girls dance recitals. This year was so much fun to watch. The little princess did such a good job this year. She knew the whole dance which was to L.O.V.E. and they spelled it out with their arms. Their costumes were all absolutely darling. She was so excited to get flowers at the end. I think her favorite part about the whole thing is getting to wear make-up. This girl seriously has a thing for make-up. In fact, just last night, she went and found the blush I had bought for the recital, and hid. I noticed she had disappeared and so I called for her and when she came downstairs she promptly informed me that she had gotten sunburned.

She had taken the bright pink blush and put it all over her face. She did look like she had quite the lopsided sunburn.

Promotion for Big T from Kindergarten was last week. We had a busy few days. We went to his school for his program. It was quite entertaining. As my mother-in-law so rightfully put it, "He knew things I don't even know if I ever knew". They sang songs about the continents and different thing that live and grow on each one. They told us about Mt. Rushmore, which presidents are on it and what number of president they are. They memorized cute little sayings throughout the year, the tried and true old cliches. They would practice writing these in cursive as well. I finally learned that they teach cursive to help them learn to read from left to right. Makes sense. His saying was, "Look before you leap". He nailed it. He had a fantastic year and learned to much. I am so proud of him.

Moving On

Princess graduated from her first year of preschool. I can't believe this year has gone by so quickly. She has mastered writing her name, knows the alphabet and sounds and can count to 30. Her teachers were so cute and put together a darling book of things they have done throughout the year. It is perfect, I don't have to save anything because I have this book to save. She loves school and can't wait to get started for next year. Her program was full of some very cute songs. Way to go, sweetie!
