THE Masters

Brett had the rare opportunity to pick up for a few days from school and head to The Masters. For all of you out there who don't know what this is, it is one of thee golf tournaments for the PGA. There are four majors, and this is one of them. He was lucky enough to stay close to the course, have a VIP pass which allowed him to tour the clubhouse and to have seats on the 18th hole on Sunday. Great seats to watch Phil Mickelson win his 2nd Masters title.
It really has been a life long dream of Brett's to go to Augusta. He didn't even necessarily care to go The Masters; he just wanted to see the course. It is somewhat of a legendary course, you have to be a "member" to play it. Let's just say there aren't many members. It is very exclusive and even the history behind it is somewhat interesting. To put one of the facts bluntly, they don't allow women to golf on the course. This was a great opportunity for him to see the course and see some great players.
He stayed at a place rented out by Billy Casper, pictured above. He stayed with his dad and they soaked in Augusta for the two days as much as they could. The only unfortunate thing about the whole event is that they couldn't have a camera on the course for the actual tournament, so this is about all we have to document the event. It really should be Brett telling you all about it, but his head is currently buried very deep in some law books. Only 3 more weeks from today, yahoo!
