Taking Lessons From the Great Houdini

Kid 3, my 4 1/2 month old, has recently started rolling over. With this, she also has started scooting. I set her on my bed today in hopes to go visit the bathroom for 2 seconds. I set up the usual "trap" us parents tend to do with pillows all around. It worked for the first 2. Her scooting entails pulling her legs up underneath her and bulling through whatever is in front of her with her head. Today, it just happened to be the pillow. She was seconds away from plunging off the edge of the bed, but I still had to capture my artist in the act. I think the pictures say it best. She thought she was pretty funny too, because every time I asked her if she thought that was funny, she would just start laughing. I didn't think she was all that funny.

Lortab + Kids = Disaster

As most of you well know, I had a tonsillectomy this week. It has been quite the experience for me considering I am one who does not do well to surrender control to anyone or anything. The surgery went well, the ENT told B that my tonsils were "rotten". I still haven't figured out if they were rotten, or were rotten, but one way or the other, they had to come out. My mother and mother-in-laws stepped in like champs and took over watching kid 1,2, and 3, wonderfully. However, kid 1, 2, and 3 have learned that when grandma's are watching, they don't have to act the same. It has been an interesting week as I float above everyone else in lala land. The kids have been decent, but act out accordingly. I can't seem to step in and discipline because every time I do, my throat starts to throb and my ears ring. I haven't cared for the Percocet, Lortab or Tylenol 3 much, but if I don't take it, I hurt. The problem is these drugs make me a number of things which are 1. itchy 2. loopy 3. tired 4. tinnitus. I really haven't been able to handle the noise from the kids because it goes in one ear and rattles and bounces around in my brain. Most of my time has been spent hiding under the pillow in my bedroom which I think is calling my name right now. Having said this, I don't know why anyone would choose to be a drug addict. I could think of a thousand things I would rather do instead of being trapped in my own head.

Site Under Construction

This will be our new Family Blog site to keep everyone up-to-date on exciting events in our lives, but I am still working on it. I don't know if the slowness of it is related to the computer, or me being doped up on drugs. Anyway, please visit us again. S
