I Think I Can, I Think I Can
Unfortunately, respiratory season finally hit the valley here, which means I am getting the hours I need up at Primary. So, I have been a little bit busier and haven't had as much time to get on and blog. My girls were also sick last week which provided us with a very sleep deprived family. And, one more thing to boot. I am in a rut. I hope to get a post up with some pictures-especially for you mom. Until then, I am left thinking of a little train trying to make it up a steep, steep hill.

The Curious Incident of the Matching Zits
I haven't yet figured it out. But, when I do, I will be a whole lot more zitless. Whenever my husband gets a zit in a not so conspicuous spot, I will get the same zit, in the same place, or in the exact mirror image. Like for instance, right now. He has this horrific zit on the right corner of his mouth. I have one horrific zit on the left corner of my mouth. Are we just so in tune with each other that we have to feel each others pain? Or is it that he spread it to me by showing me a little affection? Or my making fun of it created a powerful, painful revenge created in the same form I was ridiculing? I wish, whatever, it is, that it would feel the need to stop. I don't need to feel the pain. I do not need to show the empathy. I have been there and done that before with him. I feel this curious incident should stop soon. ENOUGH. Seriously. Is this just one more example of us being true soul mates? The matchless power has now become matched.

Builder of the Month
Builders
-author unknown
I saw them tearing a building down,
A gang of men in a busy town.
With a yo heave ho and a lusty yell,
They swung a beam and the sidewall fell.
I asked the foreman if these men were as skilled
As those he would hire if he were to build.
He laughed and said, "Oh, no indeed,
Common labor is all I need,
For they can wreck in a day or two,
What builders have taken years to do."
So I asked myself, as I went my way,
Which of these roles am I to play?
Am I the builder, who works with care,
Measuring life by the rule and square;
Or am I the wrecker who walks the town,
Content in the role of tearing down?
T-man was awarded the Builder of the Month award for Kindergarten this last month. The theme for the month was WORKING DILIGENTLY. This is what his teacher had to say about him: T-man is always ready to do what we need him to do. No matter what the assignment is, T-man has a smile on his face and is ready to jump on the task at hand! He is always prepared and goes the extra mile to get things done! He is a fast finisher!

Don't Turn Your Back

I feel bad for the little one. This is what her older sister did to her after pinning her down. Then the Princess did it to herself. Go figure. Why would you want to draw all over yourself after seeing what you just did to your little sister? I can't even turn my back for 2 seconds. It is double the trouble these days.

Ready to Go, Mom
This little one tries so hard to keep up with her older siblings. I was getting the kids ready for school and this is what I found:

She was ready to go with them and didn't love it when I told her she wasn't going with them. The funny thing is she got everything on completely by herself. She is so independent and can get most shoes on by herself, opens all doors, opens the fridge door, takes off her clothes-things my other two didn't do for a while. She is fun, but needs lots of attention.
