We went to the cute pumpkin patch down the street from us again this year. The kids had so much fun playing on the tractors and doing the corn maze. Then we moved on to the exciting part of each getting to pick out their own pumpkin. This year the pumpkin patch had weeds, so many weeds that they were just too tall and too many that they had to cut all the pumpkins off of the vines and line them up in rows while cleaning the rest of the stuff out. We still got to have a wheelbarrow that was fun for the kids to ride in. Just not any big clippers to cut the pumpkins off with, better safe than sorry. It was freezing, so we didn't last very long, but it definitely is a tradition in the making.

I can't believe it is fall and that cold there. Still in the 80s and 90s during the day here. It is actually down in the 70s right now. I was wanting to take Dan to a PP here, but was informed that pumpkins don't grow in this part of Florida. They are shipped in. How not fun!!! Maybe we can make up for it by picking oranges in a few months time?
Fun tradition! Your kids are so cute! It's fun to watch them grow up (even if its just on the blog and the occasional lunch date!).
LOVE the pumpkin patch! I too was sad that they cut them all off the vine but I guess they could've lost their pumpkins too because I guess the weeds were like infested too! Anyway good times!
oh my, i can't imagine not having a pumpkin patch near by. you are making enough money, fly your family down here and visit a patch. wink, wink.

Carley does have a field trip to the one by our house next week. i guess we will see.
