You're Pointing the Wrong Finger

Interesting stories for some light reading.

Bill Clinton tells us really where to point the finger, and then I will tell you how:

I realize skeletons come out of the closet with elections. But answer up and put these things to rest if they aren't true. For more interesting commentary on political happenings check out my sis's blog: http://thefabulousfosterfour.blogspot.com/. Not that we are political analyst or anything. We just want the truth and we want the truth to be known. It is no longer good enough to sit back and watch.

According to Who.

Thanks to all of you for your concern, your phone calls and your comments. Things will be alright. I just get frustrated dealing with corrupt and dishonest people. But, I should get used to it, because there are more out there then I want to believe. According to WaMu upper up's, they told their employees that they really were doing ok until the media decided there was going to be another fall by a big bank and it was going to be WaMu. People started to panic, pull there money out and stop putting money in and WaMu lost something like 17 billion dollars in the last 2 weeks. Supposedly the CEO had no idea the Feds were coming in, and that they did, and took complete control of the company, turned around and sold it to Chase for pennies on the dollar 10 minutes later. But the sucky part is that they didn't have to buy the stock. Oh well. It is just money. And it isn't as much as some who recently put hundreds of thousands or even billions into the company. All in all, I understand it, but it still sounds a little fishy to me. I guess I should stop being Sherlock Homes and just go with. That one was for you, honey.

At a Loss For Words, Except For a Few Names

I think I might be able to make a better post once I can get some serious help getting my jaw scraped off the floor. My husband took a job with Washington Mutual a few months back. There has been talk for years of WaMu getting bought out, we knew it was still an option. But for the time being, taking a job with them was our best option. As of today, my husband works for his ex-employer CHASE. OOOHHH. The IRONY. I seriously don't even know what to say or think. He still has a job, for how long, who knows. My complaint comes to the blasted people in the higher ups who have been feeding their employees the manure off the bottom of my shoes for months. I won't get started other than the stock my husband bought is now worth a big fat ZERO, or so we think, and the newly appointed CEO of the company just got a $10 million bonus for turning the company over to the Feds in a matter of 2 weeks. That is some serious business. And a buttload of crap for those who invested their money and 401K's in a company that was doing "just fine". Dishonest, crooked, and thief start to come to mind. But, I won't open that can.

And So The Story Goes...

Last night I got a desperation call from work and headed in for half a shift. That left Brett in charge of 3 little kids. Not that big of a deal considering he gets to put them to bed within 2 hours of me leaving. T-man went to bed pretty easily. Princess and the little one seemed to give him a little more grumbling and mumbling in his attempts. He finally got Princess in bed, looking at a million books, only to sneak down to cuddle up with him on the couch for half an hour or so. He put her back to bed, again, and I am sure threatened her with the removal of her bunny or blanket if she got out again. A few minutes later he heard her out of bed. Time passes by and he decides to go check on her. He is furious, fuming, and ready to lay into her, when he comes around the corner and finds the princess covered in my make-up. He can't help it, he becomes hysterical with laughter. She is a little embarrassed as she looks at herself in the mirror and says, "Dad, I wook wike a cwown." He took a few snapshots for me to enjoy and told me these are minor compared to what she looked like before she wiped the lipstick off. She asked me recently if we would see a Princess at the upcoming Circus, and I told her there wasn't Princesses at the circus, but I think I need to retract that, because apparently there ARE Princess Clowns.

And We Made Fun of Ms. South Carolina, Teen USA

Biden garbles Depression history
Joe Biden's denunciation of his own campaign's ad to Katie Couric got so much attention last night that another odd note in the interview slipped by.
He was speaking about the role of the White House in a financial crisis.
"When the stock market crashed, Franklin Roosevelt got on the television and didn't just talk about the princes of greed," Biden told Couric. "He said, 'Look, here's what happened.'"
As Reason's Jesse Walker footnotes it: "And if you owned an experimental TV set in 1929, you would have seen him. And you would have said to yourself, 'Who is that guy? What happened to President Hoover?'"

Wow. We want this guy 2nd in command to our country???

Duck, Duck, Goose Revised

This little one is such a tease and so much fun when she isn't being sassy. I had to take advantage of this laugh, but I was too late to catch her wacking us on the head and then tackling us to the ground thinking she "caught" us.

More Champion Swimming

T-man finished up his swim lessons today. He worked really hard the last two lessons to get the butterfly and breaststroke down. I can't actually claim that they are "down", but he has the idea. I will have to practice with him some over the next couple of weeks. Anyway, he wasn't quite as excited as little Princess was to "earn" his medal and ribbon, but he definitely deserved it. I had to sneak a few pics of little Miss in there because she put up with going to the lessons.
